FAQ

Questions, answered

Everything hosts usually ask before booking a zero-alcohol mocktail bar in San Diego. Don't see yours? Send it with your inquiry.

The basics

How do you pronounce Sin Booze?

Like "seen booz." Sin is the Spanish word for "without," so Sin Booze means "without booze." It's not the English word "sin," although we do love a little mischief.

Is it really zero alcohol?

Yes, always. Every drink we serve is 100% alcohol-free. Not "low," not "optional." That's our core promise.

What's on the menu?

A curated, rotating menu of Mexico City-inspired craft mocktails. Think aguas frescas, horchata, and jamaica, reimagined. The menu keeps evolving, and we pick your drinks together while planning your event.

Do you serve food?

No. We focus on drinks, and you're welcome to bring in the caterer of your choice.

¿Hablan español?

Sí. We can serve your event in English, Spanish, or a mix of both.

Pricing and booking

How much does it cost?

Events start at $500. Your final price depends on guest count and event details, and you'll get a clear quote after you send an inquiry.

How far ahead should I book?

At least 2 to 3 weeks before your event, so we can plan and prep everything fresh. Cutting it closer? Ask anyway. If your agreement is signed within 7 days of the event, the full fee is due at signing.

How does the deposit work?

A 50% deposit is due when you sign your services agreement, and that's what locks your date. It's non-refundable and goes toward your total. The balance is due 3 days before your event.

What's your cancellation policy?

Cancel more than 14 days before your event and you lose only the deposit, nothing more. Cancel 14 days or less before and the full fee is due. Everything is spelled out in your services agreement before you pay.

Can I reschedule?

Yes, once, without losing your deposit, as long as you give us at least 14 days' written notice, the new date is within 12 weeks of the original, and we're available that day.

What if weather or something out of our control cancels the event?

We'll work with you in good faith to find a new date. If rescheduling isn't possible within 6 months, we refund what you've paid, minus the deposit and any costs we can't recover.

Is there a travel fee?

Travel within 15 miles of La Mesa is included. Beyond that, travel is $2 per mile, round trip.

Your event

What kinds of events do you do?

Weddings, corporate events, birthdays, and hotel and resort events like welcome receptions, poolside socials, and conference group happy hours. If everyone at your party should have something worth raising, we're in.

Where do you serve?

San Diego only, for now.

How many guests can you serve?

We serve events starting at 20 guests.

What do you bring?

Your menu and the full bar service. We arrive about an hour before service to set up and take up to an hour after to break down. Your proposal spells out exactly what's included for your event.

What do you need at the venue?

Access to the space about an hour before service and up to an hour after, plus electricity and water nearby if needed. Let us know about any venue rules or required permits at least 7 days before your event.

What about allergies and dietary needs?

Tell us in your inquiry, and in writing at least 7 days before your event, and we'll make reasonable efforts to accommodate. Our drinks can contain common allergens like tree nuts, coconut, citrus, dairy, soy, and eggs, so we can't guarantee anything is allergen-free. Guests can always ask us about ingredients at the bar.

Will you take photos at my event?

Only if you say yes. Your services agreement has a simple checkbox for photo and video permission. Leave it unchecked and we won't use any media from your event.

Can you work alongside an alcohol bar?

Yes. Plenty of hosts have both. Our bar stays 100% alcohol-free.

Still have a question?

Ask it in your inquiry. We'll answer it when we confirm your date.
